Pakistan is a country of paradox, where there is an abundance of hunger despite the abundance of resources. Around 40% of the food produced is wasted, added on to the fact is that Pakistan is one of the top countries when it comes to food philanthropy, yet 100 Million Pakistanis are food insecure.

36 Million Tonnes

of food is wasted in Pakistan annually

100 Million

Pakistanis are food insecure

$2 Billion

given annually in charity

We believe that this is due to a design issue that prompts a market failure between demand and supply. The greatest concern for food suppliers and donors is reliability and transparency of the sharing process, along with the knowledge of whom exactly to give to. The poor (demand) on the other hand are concerned with availability, affordability and knowledge on utilization of food resources efficiently.
